My name is Chris Line and I am a first time dad. One night I decided I was going to start this blog, about 10 weeks into Grayson’s Mom’s pregnancy. I reside in the amazing town of Bethlehem, nestled in the Lehigh Valley section of Northeast Pennsylvania. I am currently 36 years old and was born June 18th, 1978.
Join me as I write, record, potograph, and experience what it’s like to be a first time single father. I’d like to keep videos logged over the years and stream them on Youtube, keep photos logged both personally and on sites like Flickr, and Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. I’d like to start a Dadastrophic Radio-Podcast with a few first time dad friends of mine, and more. Honestly, in 18 years when our child looks back, they will have an arsenal of memories preserved forever in time. Heck, in my eyes, Dadastrophic “Tales of a Hot Mess Dad” could be the next BIG thing!
I currently work in the area marketing and special events here in The Lehigh Valley and in my past life, (1996 to 2008) I was a Lehigh Valley Radio Disc Jockey at 95.1 WZZO, 104.1 B104, Cat Country 96, and 100.7 WLEV. Currently, I work part time at WZZO on air Saturdays and Sundays at 95.1FM in the Lehigh Valley and you can stream it at www.951zzo.com. I began acting at 16 and was managed by famed talent manager, Lois Miller, who was responsible for launching the careers of Christine Taylor (Brady Bunch, Hey Dude, Dodgeball), and Jamie Lynn Sigler (Meadow Soprano). In 2001 I was a Vee Jay for MTV2 and in 2003 I hosted an MTV show, “Into The Cube”. Also in 2003, I got my big break and was cast in famed director Richard Linklater’s “The School of Rock“, a Paramount Pictures Production. Yes, that’s me who announces that “NO VACANCY” wins the battle of the bands as Jack Black and the kids hate my guts…you’re welcome!
Enough about me…lets talk about this kid…enjoy the ride and check back often…I’m going to have fun with this!
