6 days and counting until “Baby Nuggs” greets the world…well, we hope! My wife is
due on January 20th! (It figures it’s a holiday and half of the world will be closed for MLK day!) We have a Tuesday Dr. Appointment scheduled in case the baby is not born yet so if we get that far, you’ll see another post on what’s next! Since E wanted him out weeks ago, chances are it’s going to happen sooner than later! The Dr. yesterday said he’s ready but no dialation yet so as of now we are in a holding pattern. Here is what is going on in week 39 according to Babycenter:
Your baby’s waiting to greet the world! He continues to build a layer of fat to help control his body temperature after birth, but it’s likely he already measures about 20 inches and weighs a bit over 7 pounds, a mini watermelon. (Boys tend to be slightly heavier than girls.) The outer layers of his skin are sloughing off as new skin forms underneath.
Note: Every baby develops a little differently — even in the womb. Our information is designed to give you a general idea of your baby’s development!
Can’t wait for the next post…hopefully it’s introducing Little Man to the world!
