News Ticker

And It Begins…

Holy "SH...(Watch my mouth!)" ... I'm going to be a FIRST TIME dad. I have NO idea what to do, how to act, what to say...I do know how to feel and that is excited beyond words! I'm very much looking forward to this but I'm scared S-Less!

Even though there have been dozens of books written and tons of blogs blogged…no one has the right answer! For everyone who keeps telling me how it’s going to be…I appreciate all the advice but I truly feel the only way to really know how it’s going to be is to live it from this day forward! Tips and Diapers are appreciated!

I’m starting off this blog TODAY because my wife (The BEST wife a man can ask for)  is 10 weeks pregnant. We conceived on April 30th in Key West, FL (Thanks Jenn  and Rich for the KW invite, LOL) and we are due January 21st 2013! Our ulrtrasound  was A-OK and so many friends are  asking us why we are not going out , joining them, coming to happy hour, flying to an island, etc….we finally had to break the news a little early and that was okay by us since the ultrasound was a success!

Erica broke the news about a week ago to close friends  and then decided to go on 100.7 WLEV where she is one of the “Real Housewives of The Lehigh Valley” and tell the entire 700,000 person population in the area about our new adventure! CLICK HERE to hear the interview!  After that and FACEBOOK, I figured….” Let’s tape the interview on WLEV so we can post in on this blog, and START this blog ASAP.  LISTEN TO IT HERE!  My ultimate goal? END the Dadastrophic Blog on our child’s 18th Birthday….READY , SET , GO!

Any of the negativity from friends, co-workers, or people who ‘know it all”  I don’t need because it comes with daily life enough without their help!  As for-  “Are You Prepared?”…umm….no….obviously! Is anyone prepared,  even when they are trying? Not really!  I am not sure what this first post is about since I’ve never been a dad, don’t know what to do, and am not quite sure I know how to take care of myself let alone a baby, but I am pretty sure it’s the first post to me  documenting EVERYTHING that I can about my child, wife, and life so that my kid can look back in 18 years and say “WOW…thanks for documenting this dad!  After all this reading, you really were DADASTROPHIC  but it all turned out OKAY!”

That is the point of this blog. To document my child’s life even before they are born for all of us to look back on because this technology wasn’t around like it is today. Sure there were journals but how exciting is it to share what we want to share with the world?!  I don’t care if 1 person reads this,  45,000, or it goes viral through. I am writing this for me and for my family and if anyone cares to come along for the ride that’s great! By the way thanks to Julie  For the AWESOME first baby gift…She and her husband, Mike are the proud parents of an 8 Month Old son, Aiden! Check out their project,! They got us a gift that their son absolutely LOVES! A blanket from Baby Blankets and Beyond! Definitely something that will go down in history! The Nook Nook on the right is our child’s when they are born…the one on the left, Erica bought for me and I’ve been sucking on that boy since 2009 and still have a few years left!

I currently write  at with my wife when we have time,  I work 49  jobs, volunteer with several non-profits, and try to relax now and then, but my NEW favorite obsession is going to be this blog because I am ecstatic! I want everyone to read it, spread it, share it, embrace it,  and learn as I learn…because I have NO IDEA what I’m getting into and this is going to be DADASTROPHIC yet I will be the BEST father ever to my child! Find me on TWITTER, YouTube, and FACEBOOK!
