Pregnancy Is Like 3 Cheese Tortellini Carbonara

It's 5:17 am and I can't sleep. I went to bed at 12am and woke up at 4am after tossing and turning all night. I was out yesterday evening for dinner with Erica, her dad Charlie, and his girlfriend of many years, Joyce.  We had one of my personal favorites, Italian, about 20 minutes outside The Lehigh Valley. With losing weight the past few months, it's tough to eat large portions and multiple courses but yesterday I conquered...or thought I did.

One problem – hours later, as I sit here, all of this food is still sitting in my stomach, especially the 3 Cheese Tortellini Carbonara that I had.   Funny thing is that at about 4am, a little before I decided to stay up for good, Erica started tossing around and I could tell that she was slightly awake. Being concerned, I asked her what was wrong and she said that the baby, who is  13  weeks grown, was tossing and turning and  “doing somersaults inside of her“!

As I laid there, I just laughed inside my own mind before I decided to get up at this god-awful  hour and write this post.  I laughed because when E told me that the baby was “doing somersaults inside of her“, I kept thinking about how the 3 Cheese Tortellini Carbonara was “doing somersaults inside of me”!

Conclusion? : 13 week old babies inside of their mother “doing somersaults” is EXACTLY the same as having a pound of 3 Cheese Tortellini Carbonara in your stomach. Your welcome!
